About EDF Energy

EDF Energy now one of the largest companies to supply energy and has been around since 2003 but is a collaboration of a number of other companies- London Electricity, SWEB Energy, Seaboard Energy, and Virgin Home Energy which have been around for much longer.

EDF Energy is a well-established energy provider and supplies gas and electricity to millions of people around the country.

EDF energy prides itself in being the largest producer of low carbon electricity.

In the UK, EDF operates 8 nuclear power stations as well as running wind farms and trading energy in line with its demand.

EDF for Business

There are 2 contracts to choose from for small to medium businesses; these are a ‘ Business Electricity Saver ’ contract and ‘ Business Electricity Renewable ’ contract.

A business electricity Renewable contract allows your business to take advantage of renewable energy from sources such as wind, solar, and hydroelectricity. Due to the fact that this energy comes from low carbon generators, it is free from the Climate Change Levy (the tax applicable for energy use in industrial and commercial settings and most business sectors.)

There are also flexible options for larger businesses.

EDF Business Services

The contracts range from a minimum of 12 month to 3 years.

There is a 2% discount when monthly direct debit is used to pay your bill.

There is energy efficiency advice available to customers for free.

Being on a contract means that you are eligible for fixed prices, therefore excluding you from the fluctuating price market. And once your contract comes to an end there is an automatic price review.

Bigger businesses can take advantage of flexible contracts which enables them to budget better.
